When I was laid up, I paid a landscaper to weed my beds and plant the ones still in boxes into the bed that I had cleared for them. His men came in, dug up my daylilies and dumped them. I couldn't get them back, lawyers thought it wasn't enough money for them to do anything about it. I want to update my information and want do something quickly and easily. I would still most of the plants I had, and in fact between fall and spring I will have some replacements but... most still need to be fixed. Help?

I am thinking that that last sentence should read "I would still want most of the plants I had.."
So maybe pull up the list of plants you have, then go down the list one at a time and simply change the "have" to want. But use the back arrow so you don't have to wait for the program to relist everything after every change. You may have to hit the back arrow a couple of time to get back to your list each time.

I was updating my list recently and was wishing there was a spreadsheet format that we could do a mass update. There is a CSV format to download a list of plants, but no way that I know of to upload it once it has been updated. Would love to know if it could be!

I did what Larry suggested. When I was done with one plant, I hit the back arrow twice and then hit the refresh button to show the change I had just made and my list didn't have to reload each time. But it would be nice if there was an even easier way.

This happens rarely enough that I haven't taken the time to make bulk actions possible, but it's something I'd like to eventually do. I know the lists feature is used by quite a few people, myself included.

In the meantime, I am happy to make a mass edit for you using my backend scripts. Just let me know exactly what you want done (e.g. "change all plants of genus iris from have to want") and I'll do it.
