Thanks guys. It was 91 today and humid so I made this in a hurry and need to go back and move some semps around. I hung it first and then got on a ladder to put semps in and was in to much of a hurry to come back in to the air conditioning. The floral u pins were not doing a great job of holding semps in so I bought brown hair pins which aren't as wide.

Lynn and Greg- I prefer hard dormant foliage of daylilies instead of semi evergreen or evergreen.

Dorm, could I suggest pushing the florist pins at a sharp angle catching just the lower most leaf (furthest from the center). May take a couple for a larger semp, coming in at different sides like 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock.
I loved that you used mostly semps on your project!! Hurray!

Good to know Bev and I will practice tomorrow. Everyone should cross their fingers that the whole thing doesn't fall apart this weekend when we get heavy rain or all the semps don't all fall out from the birds pulling the moss out . If it could just last for 1 week, I'll be so happy. rofl

Believe me, this is the first project I made in 57 years that doesn't look like a 3 year old put it together. And it has me thinking about an outdoor living wall divider 8 feet long x 6 feet tall. All I need is 10 million semps and 95 million kilos of moss. Can't wait to share this new scheme with dh.

That looks really nice. But the birds sure can be a pain. In a few weeks they should be rooted in the moss well. If you're getting major rain you may want to put it in an area that's protected from it for a while.

Dorm ants - Lynn, you're bad. Rolling on the floor laughing

Yeah, Dormie, if it's still bird nesting season and your semps need to settle into the moss anyway, you can probably afford to put it in a protected, heavily surveillanced area Whistling until the semps are established a little. Your project will definitely last over a week if you stay proactive about it.

And I take it that you are about 60 years old because you made something at 3 years old and got discouraged for 57 years?... Blinking

P.S. I chuckled at your supply list for your vertical wall....We can start a sempe-thon to get you those semps you need for the wall... Rolling my eyes. Everybody, man those phones...!!!
