I found this at my MIL house and it is about 7-8 inches across, it opens in the day and closes at dusk and has a papery texture to the petals. They are pink and have white kind of mixed in, not really a solid pink. no scent. I would love to figure out what it is to order some more to go with it if I can.
any ideas?

Hi Frillylily, could it be Sea Shell?

Hi Caroline, it's peony Sea Shell, and the blooms are like what Frillylily described above.

I can't be positive in its ID, but it is lovely. It looks like it is a very established peony as well. A very nice peony you MIL has there. Smiling

It has to be a very common inexpensive variety because the previous renters would not have spent alot or ordered anything. Just something readily found. Sea Shell does look like a contender, I may try ordering one and see how it compares.
Thank you!

I wonder if there is a Canadian supplier who has that one.
I will need to see what I can find.
