We found some on the Crape Myrtle and we've never seen them before.
Just want to know if we can leave them alone or should remove them.

Gosh I have no idea, never seen any like that before. I did a search for FL and still nothing like that came up. Probably some kind of moth.

Check out the yellow woolybear and salt marsh moths on this page. I can't confirm they are ID'd correctly there but they look like yours. Unless your tree is in danger of losing all of its leaves, I wouldn't do anything. They're just critters doing what they do. https://www.lsuagcenter.com/~/...
