Hello, recently I sealed two glazed pots as to be watertight. I really want to add some plants to it and was considering some hardy carnivorous plants. Does anyone have any other suggestions on some companions? The pots aren't to big the largest is about 36in width and smallest about 18.

I am assuming you may have already planted your pots, but I'm answering anyway. You don't need to limit yourself to hardy CP down in El Paso. Sarracenia leucophylla is beautiful, especially in the fall. By me, the best pitchers show up when snow can show up, this photo was taken during an early snow on Nov 17, 2018. You would be able to grow these plants and enjoy the fall pitchers. Plants are native to the Florida Panhandle:

Other companions include Sphagnum Moss, some can swallow your plants. I have a really low growing Sphagnum I collected in the NJ Pine Barrens on private property with permission maybe 10 years ago by now. I have Xyris sp. growing as a weed. You will never get rid of it unless you really weed it out diligently.

You could grow Venus Fly Traps even.

There are Bog Orchids. They bloom with a nice flower but the leaves die down right away.

Yellow Asphodel, Narthecium americanum has a season long interest. After the blooms the seeds ripen and look attractive right into frost (which you don't have). First photo July 4, 2020 showing yellow flowers, second is Aug 6, 2019 where the orange seed pods are starting to show.

Lance Leaved Violet, Viola lanceolata has small white flowers with seed that explosively open and throw the seeds all over. It will get in your whole collection-which is a nice thing. The pot below is Sarr. minor that has a violet on the left side. There are sundews-I see Drosera filiformis there. Lots of Xyris as well. Also it has the weed moss Polytrichum. Not a good thing, but it comes on the wind. Only solution is to repot and be happy a few years, or have a really tight Sphagnum cover. Photo taken May 31, 2020.:

There are a number of CP dealers. I have to disable the links since I'm a new member. Just add the first "h" back in. I have purchased plants from:
Sarracenia Northwest ttps://www.growcarnivorousplan...

Carnivorous Plant Nursery ttps://carnivorousplantnursery.... Michael Szesze of CPN is a strong supporter of the Mid-Atlantic Carnivorous Plant Society, so I support him a lot.

I have purchased a lot of plants from MACPS auctions at meetings.
