Any ideas what's eating my blooms on my "Snow Queen"?

Earwigs? They're always coming after my clematises.

How do you control them? I know we have earwigs around but have never seen anything on the blooms. Thanks for the help Zuzu.

I use Deadline Bug Bait, Peg, but I'm sure there are natural methods of control if you don't want to use the bait.

I went out today to look at a new bloom and there it was
An earwig right on the bloom
Got to find some Deadline Bug Bait asap

Thanks guys. It was hard to get a pic before the earwigs ate them.
Here's a pic of my very first bloom. Maybe because it was the first makes it extra special to me.

Chris - I never saw the bug until I looked at the pic later. He didn't munch on it so didn't mind him resting there. I don't have any idea even what it is.
Sue - I did add it to the database a while ago. It was also the first pic I ever took of a bloom on anything. I think it was beginners luck
