All About ATP- Making "Lists" Private

By woofie
June 1, 2013

On the top tabs, you'll find the ATP "Lists" feature. This is where you can keep your personal inventory of plants, a want list, and a trading list. There occasionally may be a reason you might want to keep parts of your List private. One of our members was having a bit of trouble figuring out how to do that, so I put together a little "How To" for her.

Cinda: I agree re: the "Want" list ... I'm a plant "hoarder"/"pig" but I try to be discreet about it. Green Grin!

ok, I know this is OLD, but I am trying to make my list private and I don't see how to do it. I don't have any categories? I just have a list of things I want and a list of things I have. Can I make those private?

I'm afraid (I could be wrong) that you can only make individual categories private. I think in order to make your whole list private, you'd need to create a category, make it private, and then move everything into that category (or several categories if you like). Which sounds like a lot of work. Maybe @dave can help with this?

I messed w this before but never really got he results I was after. Sometimes I may be in the middle of updating or rearranging things and it would be nice to have the option of 'freezing' or making the whole shebang private, until I am done editing. Like for a few weeks or something. Sometimes people move or do a major re-do on their garden and it would be nice to make it private for that time.

What I was thinking was that if you made a new category and made it private, then maybe Dave could just mass move everything into that private category for you. But it may not be that simple or he may not have the time right now; I know he's really busy. You're not the only one who has asked about making their lists private, but for now, as far as I know, the only way is to put your plants into categories that are marked private.

It's only a category by category basis, unfortunately, and for now that can't be changed.

Thanks, dave, that's what I thought. Is there any way to move more than one plant at a time into a different category?
