I've had lots of new growth this summer, but just the odd bloom. Now that it has stopped raining for a few days here, I am seeing what I hope to be some buds starting up.
My Penang Peach still has hardly any rust! I think this is a small miracle given how wet the weather's been this summer. I had to use some Physan fungicide on my orchids a couple of times, and the plumerias just sort of 'got in the way' of the remaining spray so I thought I would try it. What a charm! Although I generally do not use any chemicals, 1tsp. of Physan to 2gal. of water doesn't seem like too much toxic stuff to spray around in order to prevent all that rust. That 2gal. sprayed over 100 orchids as well as the whole pool cage screening, the patio tiles, a few cannas and the 3 little plumerias.
Variegated yellow one is doing well, but not exactly what I'd call vigorous. It can't take the intense summer sun without the white areas of the leaves burning, it seems. I'm going to move it to the south side of the house for the winter, and see if it will come along and bloom next spring before the sun gets too hot for it.
