I already planted some Four O'Clock tubers this year. Then today I sowed seeds of Broken Colors. I was waiting and watching to see when the self sown 4 0'clocks seeds would start popping up. I figgured that would be the best time to sow my new seeds.

I do have the 4 O'Clocks comming up in lots of garden areas. But I have mostly the solid colored ones. I used to grow broken colors years ago and remember how pretty they are. So I bought some seeds this spring.

How are those 4 O'Clocks doing Rita? I had wintersown several and got behind getting things in the ground. Finally just potted the annuals for the front porch. I've never grown 4 O'clocks in pots before, but it will be nice to have them where they can be seen up close at night and we can watch them open. I've got some broken colors, 'Custard and Cream', and 'Limelight Rose' potted now.

The four o'clocks that I planted in tubers are growing great. So are other four o'clocks in various colors all around the garden that self seeded from last year. Some of those I moved around to were I want them to be instead of were they were popping themselves up.

But those seeds I tried to start did not come up. Not a single one! I was so busy I didn't have time to try again so I guess I will just have whatever is growing here now.
