Mine didn't sprout. I thought these were supposed to be easy?? Blinking

Any tips? How do you start yours? Is it too late to try again for blooms this year in zone 5b/6?

Mine didn't either. I have better luck with reseeding ones. I have been having a lot of seeds that are not germinating and this isn't my first rodeo! Hilarious!

Allyssum saxatilis has not germinated for me.
I sowed it last fall over some tulip bulbs.
I can do cuttings from the established plants.

According to Swallowtail Seeds, it wants fairly cool temps to germinate, around 65 deg. Maybe you kept them too warm? And you're not supposed to cover them. I know, basic stuff. Never tried them myself. Or maybe the seeds don't keep well?

I never tried A. saxatilis.

With Lobularia maritima (common name Alyssum) I would throw some saved seeds into cracks in the sidewalk or among the weeds, then stand back.

I was careful to look up to requirements for Canna lilies after I bought some. However, I spelled it "Calla" ...

I appreciate that you let us play around.

If I had any knowledge or useful advice or even lame opinion that was on-topic , I'd surely offer it.

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm ESPECIALLY sorry to learn that confusion can be contagious.

I found allysium seeds 4 pkg.
For $1.00 at the Dollar Store . I mixed the seeds with a cup of flour and sprinkled them in a straight line on the ground. I then lightly sprinkled them with water. With the white flour marking the path it was easy for me to see where and when they germinate. Just like it said on the pkg they germinated in 7to 8 days. It's been about 10 days now and they are now 1/2 inch tall. I live in zone 10a. The day I planted the seeds it was a cool Florida 60'

Another method is to mix tiny seeds with sand or vermiculite to spread. I've done that.
