There are a couple of roses in a rather umpressive setting but I found them too look quite nice actually. They seem to have taken the lots of rains and heat well, petals still being intact after 1 month of being in bloom is quite nice.
Generally no big thorns just some smaller ones around the blooms area.
Blooms are overall very small, around 1 inch /25mm, 5 petals.
I don't think there is any scent at least I didn't pick up any at this time of the day / time of the year.

Agree with John that it could be Flower Carpet red, it was the most heavily planted landscape rose in public places before the Knock Outs took over.

Interesting.

Flower Carpet Red is labeled as semi-double but even the examples shown in photos on garden.org appears as single with 5 petals, I have to say makes me a bit confused.

The leaves in my photos are more elongated than what I see with Flower Carpet Red as being a bit more rounded in some images.

Both bushes are around 60 inches tall with no signs of pruning (measured my own body to come up with the height), Flower Carpet Red overall photos show a shorter bush as far as I can see maybe like 25 inches max (assuming no one pruned any in the photos online)

Regarding the height, Flower Carpet could get a lot bigger if left unpruned and grown over a long season... I think these roses are definitely of the landscape variety, I browsed all the Meidiland series on HelpMeFind and didn't find a petal/color match unfortunately...

My Red Drift will sometimes bloom single rather than double and has more elongated leaves, but perhaps not that elongated.

My Flower Carper Red does not have those magenta hues. It is clear red.

This small single flower is Flower Carpet Red. It does not come across like magenta. I'll take more pictures of Flower Carper Red tomorrow.

I saw the photos of Flower Carper Red always look true red, not red magenta, good to hear from an owner of said rose.

Do you prune your Flower Carper Red? If not, how tall does it grow freely, as I was saying this one is taller than the Flower Carper Red photos look in general or how tall is specified online (1-2 feet).

Here are my two Flower Carpet Red roses. There is a bit of room between the two where I squished in Love that you cannot see in the picture.

These are definitely more than two feet high. They would grow, probably, up to 4 feet high, if I let them. I do prune them, perhaps every second year. Other than that, I only cut the canes that might obstruct pedestrians. These are still my favourite roses Smiling always in bloom, very hardy and disease resistant. What's not to love Smiling I particularly love their red colour Lovey dubby

Please keep in mind that our climate is harsh, they would certainly grow higher and wider in Zone 6 or 7.

Thanks for the photo and details.

One thing I notice is the leaves are way less elongated, not sure how much that matters, but I do notice it.
Also the red is more red, no magenta tones. As far as I remember the petals were never without magenta tones, I say that taking in consideration that petal color can change based on time of the year, sun intensity and amount of rain.

I have my Flower Carpet Red roses since 2004. They have never had magenta hues, no matter of weather, water, cold or anything else that happened since 2004. Smiling
