I was told about a very fragrant, white SDB NOID, offered by Tammy Skahan at Ozark Iris Gardens. I obtained a few rhizomes from Tammy ealier this year, then the person who recommended it to me suggested it might be 'Belle Plaine'.

Including Tammy, myself, and the person who first told be about the NOID, there are three of us who would like to obtain a rhizome each of 'Belle Plaine' to attempt to confirm the ID of the NOID.

If anyone has a known clump would you consider selling me three rhizomes? I'll then forward a rhizome to each of the others to see if we can confirm.

Thank you!

Here is a picture of it, at least you can compare, it's listed and the picture shows it as an ivory white (quite yellow looking to me) color, with yellow beard.

Here is a photo of the Ozark Iris Gardens "white NOID" iris in my garden. I love this iris! It "glows" at twilight and its fragrance is delicious!

I don't think your NoID is Belle Plaine because the NoID's beard is only yellow at the throat and then white, not pale yellow as Belle's is described. Also the NoID has very prominent gold haft marks on it's falls that are far more pronounced than the haft marks in the Belle pictures.

I agree it doesn't look like a match.
