We have another semp in the database that needs all you researches.
Seems we have some different spellings for what appears to be the same plant.
It looks to me that at some point a tag was mis-read, changing the rn to an m? Thus the karneol changing to kameol?

Silberkarneol

Also sold from Edelweiss as Silberkarneol.

Hi Lynn, according to Horst's site, this semp was hybridized in Germany, and in german karneol means carnelian which is a gem stone but could indicate a color too - which in the second photo (peter dieckmann's) it does look carnelian red! Just my opinion, that this spelling would be correct. If the semp wasn't from Germany I'd say Horst is possibly wrong.
Cheers! Hurray!

Is someone going to contact Don at SMG? I think he should know. I have the 'Silber Karneol' from Edelweiss. I could always send Don a few of my hens for comparison.

Do you have a photo of yours Sandi?
Mine from SMG looks just like photos under the other names. Even the link that Cliff gave us.

And wow, that is one great site Cliff, thank you. I've bookmarked it. Thumbs up

I'll send a link to Don.
