'Good-bye Columbus' (Abraham, 1998) Registered 48 inches.

Great bud builder. Should bloom for me until mid to late October. 57 inches in my garden.
Lobelia cardinalis in the background. This seems to be naturalizing in my garden. Fine with me.

Great tall ones, Kevin! I hadn't heard of Seventh Inning Stretch, but love it!

Thanks Vickie. I first found it on Tranquil Lake Nursery website. Then I saw it on Harmon Hill website. It's a "tall and small.' Small flowered, but tall. For color, at least early in the day, I now consider this my best late season red. It's a vivid, deep, glowing red. Fades in the sun and heat, but still looks OK late in the day. Growing red daylilies has me wishing for cloudy days.

Here's a closer look at Seventh Inning Stretch. That's 'Omega Red', HUWS sibling, to its left. Photo taken early August.

Extremely tall, gold blooms on 5-6' tall plants. Rust colored eyezone, rust overtones, and a throat of bright yellow. Fragrant. Did I mention it was tall?

Some of my tall daylilies are really late bloomers...

Hemerocallis 'Steeple Jackie' 23W36 Daylily U1- (Saxton, 1999) Tall Yellow Daylily , Mature plant size: 60in., YELLOW, 3.5in. yellow self with yellow throat , USDA Hardiness Zone 3, Michigan Bloom Week ISO WW34, In Garden Bed U1 for 5.8 YEARS (Gilbert). Planted in 2017.

American Daylily Society: Steeple Jackie (Saxton, 1999)
height 60 inches (152 cm), bloom 3.5 inches (9 cm), season La, Dormant, Diploid, Fragrant, 56 buds, 7 branches, Yellow self with yellow throat.

Daylily Steeple Jackie - 60" L D F 3 ½" bloom. Trumpet shaped light canary yellow flowers are produced in clusters of 3-4 on 7-way branched scapes carrying a whopping total of 55-100 buds a piece. The scapes rise high above the clump of slender, green leaves.

Flowers are small and scapes are thin. However, have not had any "wind" problems. I guess I would call it tall and delicate. Was not up to the registered 60" in the second year (2019). 48" tall in 2020. Late August bloom, very late. 2022 note: september bloom.the on ly other september blooms that I have are a few repeat bloomers.
