Our thread on these plants that has been on this forum for nearly 3 years was abruptly moved over to the Aroids forum a few days ago, in case anyone else was wondering where it went.

Anybody else feel a bit 'left behind' here? I wish those of us who were using the thread could have been asked first, or at least told where to find it. Shrug!

I wonder if someone requested that it be moved and if so why? The plants in question are Aroids but they are tropicals as well so I'm not sure why it couldn't have remained here. I also wonder if Forum Moderator (Bubbles) knows it was moved?

Someone asked me to move it and it made sense to do so so I did. I didn't meant to offend anyone. I can move it back to Tropicals if you like. Let me know!

As Lin said, it 'belongs' in either forum. It was active when it was moved, and it has sort of sputtered and died since.

I think it's my fault that Sandi asked for it to be moved. I mentioned I had looked for that thread on the Aroids forum before I found it again on Tropicals.

When a thread is moved, you're moving people, not just words. Jmho, before moving, maybe ask if the current posters are ok if the thread is moved, then they can easily follow it to the new location.

That being said, a new person has been posting on that thread over on Aroids, and he will probably be lost if it is moved back, so . . . what to do? Can it be in two places at once??

Yer the Grand Poobah, Dave. Do what you think is best and we'll roll with it. This is a wonderful website, btw. Thanks for all your great work.

We'll leave it where it is.

I move threads around the site all the time. If you post to a thread you can always find it later very easily by clicking on "Your Posts" up top. I also use the thread watcher, personally.
