It reminds me of 'Mary Geddes' but there are similar irises out there. For sure it is an historic iris, likely before 1950.

Scroll down on this link to see more photos of 'Mary Geddes'.

Could also be Indian Chief or a few others. There are a number of historic iris with reddish pink standards and wine colored falls. So, while it may be near impossible to track down it's rightful name, still enjoy it's beauty in your garden.

It doesn't ring true to me for Indian Chief, whose standards tend to be a little paler, plus the haft markings look wrong.

This first picture would have given a lot of information if were a little clearer.. ie: shape of falls, how the haft patterns are placed on the falls and how thick or fine the lines are on those markings, how thick the beard is... I suspect your phone or camera "adjusted" the color to make it more saturated, and I've allowed for that in my guesses..

I don't think the haft markings are right on this one.. but it's worth looking at...

Your haft markings are more like this..

This might be a good candidate too..

Another to compare that looked close.

For future information...
When taking picture of Iris for ID purposes, get a good front view that shows any haft patterns, the beard, the shape of the standards and falls, and overall form of the flower.
Pictures taken late in the afternoon and early evening can look warmer, or have the colors more saturated. The same can be said to the earlier morning hours to a lesser extent..
Measure the height taking an average of several representative stalks.. The height of bloom can vary quite a bit between different varieties.
Does the base of the foliage show any purple (PBF)?..

All these clues can help in finding an identification..
