So I decided to relocate my spider plant from the window to a hanging pot on the wall because I need to maximize my light and having huge plants in front of windows is taking away some of that light.

I have a feeling my spider plant will start to suffer after a few weeks or so where I've moved it I just don't get enough light, it seems to be the light stops after a foot away from the window I have installed a supplemental light above the plant which will be turned on in the evening rather than having the main bedroom light on.

This seems to be a theme every year when I buy plants. The two geraniums I bought are over watered with root rot I see the fungus gnats have moved in, its not too bad but I just have to wait and see what happens, hopefully they will dry out in good time otherwise I'll be looking for more geraniums again. Worse case scenario I'll just have to find another plant for the window that isn't going to grow bushy and block out half the light to my bedroom.

Any scented plant I've had in this place I have lost to fungus gnats and geraniums have a scent to them so I'm not sure how things will work out with the geraniums.

Your spider plant looks very healthy. Not sure where you had it before, but I would tend to keep it there since it's apparently thriving in that spot.

Geraniums would be hard to keep indoors since they prefer full sun, here it's generally to overwinter them only. I'd get a soil moisture meter and use it before watering, you'll probably find out you've been watering them too often to help avoid root rot. Also be sure to empty the container pot of water when you water it, so it's not sitting in water, that will definitely promote root rot.

I only got the geraniums yesterday and they were soaking wet. I haven't watered them. I have kept geraniums indoors in the past and they have always done fine indoors as long as they are in a bright spot. I haven't kept geraniums since the early 2000s.

The spider plant was on the window seal but it had to be moved so that I could maximize my light.

I think I will need a better light for the spider plant. I have a 200watt LED light coming in the mail so that should give the spider plant what it needs this light will also double as my bedroom light, I want to make everything as efficient as possible. Spider plants only need about 6 hours of bright light per day so the 200 watt light that is coming should be more than enough to keep the plant in good shape. Spider plants aren't as tolerant to low light as other house plants are I find.

The spider plant has only got a 1050 lumen bulb above it which isn't covering the entire plant so I need something brighter.
