Every high school chemistry student knows about galvanic corrosion. I'm sure the manufacturers know about it, as well as the stores that sell these things, and yet they continue to be sold to unsuspecting buyers. I had a tenant leave behind an expensive hose with an aluminum connection still attached to the faucet. I ruined both the hose and the faucet trying to get it off and ultimately had to replace the faucet.
