I just recieved my Hellebores from Pine Knot.
They are great. I have looked at their plants for a few years but this year I cracked and ordered.
I wasnt disapointed. Quart size singles came in bloom

I didnt know there was such a plant. Look on Deer Resistant Plants website he has many different varieties.
I will place an order with him also. He's based in Wisconsin I think so might not be digging for awhile.

I love the dark one. I had a seedling that was a bit more purple than that, but it was overtaken by astilbe and decided after a few years to just give up the fight.

I wish I knew about astilbe spread when I planted the gardens 3 years ago. Of course some of the plants died but I have a Purple Lance that doubled in 2 years

They can take up a lot of room. I think I have some hybrids from what I started with, as there seem to be some new colors every year. Who knew!

Cross polination? Gardens here are young compared to others on garden sites.

Yeah. My gardens are all either 16 years old, or nearly 100 years old. It makes for an interesting mix.
