My garden is being overrun with ferns. They are moving into my property from the wild areas behind the house. Two years back I dug, pulled and chopped the fern roots and thought I had got them all out but this year there are more than ever. They are so hard to deal with. They cover all other plants so that these plants are not receiving proper daylight. I had to dig down 3-4 feet to find the thick black roots and then pull with all my might. I now don't have the strength to do that anymore. Anyone know a solution? (I was trying to avoid using poisons in my garden as there is a drilled well)
