Thanks, Marilyn, I know FBTS has it, but I was hoping to get it closer to home. I have seen Salvia "Black and Blue" sold at Lowe's and it is usually in a gallon pot, and that's really what I would like to get, if possible. Sheridragonfly, if you are reading this, I would like to know what's the container size of Wendy's Wish that you bought at Lowe's, was it a gallon size or larger or smaller.

I was stunned & shocked to see they actually had Salvia 'Heatwave Blaze' in one-gallon pots in late May.

I bought 5 of the pots and planted them into the ground. A few are starting to bloom!

Yes, that's what I am talking about---getting the plants in a gallon size. Never heard of Heatwave Blaze", must look it up.

Well, I did look up "Heatwave Blaze" and Wow!! Looked gorgeous to me, so I went to the Monrovia Website and did a search, and could not believe that any of the Lowe's within 100 miles of me did not carry this plant. I did contact a nursery in the Shreveport/Bossier City area since they are supposed to have Monrovia plants, am waiting for reply. I live about 65 miles away from this place, and I will be in the area in another month, so if they have this, maybe they would hold one for me. Probably won't happen, but I can dream, can't I?

They have Salvia Heatwave 'Blaze' and 'Sparkle' at our local Lowe's and they aren't showing up on the Monrovia search either so you may just have to call the Lowe's or go in person.

'Sparkle', that's the other one that our Lowe's had at the end of May, but I liked the looks of 'Blaze' better and got 5 pots of that one.

I agree, Marilyn, the 'Blaze' is prettier. The lower lip of the flower curls upward on 'Sparkle' and looks odd and less showy. I bought one of each last year, but only got the 'Sparkle' because it was on clearance for around $1.50.

Can't beat that! I'd buy it if it was on clearance for $1.50 too!
