dave said:What a great idea, thanks for suggesting it! This morning I implemented this feature. Here's how to make it work:
Go to the user's profile page (click on their username).
Then under "Plant Database Contributions:" click on the first link (their images).
Now you will see at the top a pulldown menu containing (alphabetically) all the genera of the images they have uploaded. Choose one and click Update View and you'll then see only images they have posted to that genus.
Works great! And it's fun to look at your own photos and see what genera you've uploaded.
OK, so you have to start at the user profile level... I suppose it would be too much hassle to have it available in the plant database area as well? I'm just thinking that sometimes people don't know who they'd want to look at. For instance, I refresh my ATP home page and a beautiful daylily in random plants catches my eye. (yeah, it happens, and that's how I went from 2 dozen to 20 dozen daylilies in 18 months).
So I click on the random photo, and it shows me a beautiful picture by Calif_Sue. Now, if I want to see MORE daylily pictures by her, I need to click on her user name, then click on her database images, then click on hemerocallis. It would be ever so cool if I could just click a button next to the random image I looked at, that says "see more daylily pics by this user."
Just dreaming... but you know me, if the idea pops into my head, it has to pop out of my keyboard...
