Thanks Ann....we have a good strong core group here on the Hosta forum. Wish we could have a few more people participate They should be out there as Hosta are so popular. I see more in the good local nurseries all the time.

Beautiful colors. I have most of those but I have never taken a close, close pic of the leaves. That is beautiful. Thank you Paul.

Yes I love hostas and I love foliage. You see so many people looking for long blooming plants. I always look for plants with interesting foliage. Blooms are fleeting foliage is lasting.

I know a lot of people stopped being drawn to Hostas because of the HVX. It is why I try every chance I get to calm the HISTERIA.

It would be nice if more people began to enjoy Hostas again and not walk around picking up leaves and screaming and digging up their plant for frost damage because of the HVX scare.

We all worry about different things. I may be naive but I've never worried a lot about HVX. I've bought from the named nurseries but also from local nurseries and occasionally from....I shudder to say it....a big box store if I see a nice healthy looking plant that I want and am certain of the cultivar I get it. I see more at the local nurseries all the time and got Risky Business and Pocketful of Sunshine this week. My problem.....so many Hosta...so little room.

Rolling on the floor laughing So you worry about room for more hostas.

Paul that is my attitude. But I had a friend that loved hostas until HVX. The poor woman no longer enjoy her favorite plant.

My garden is to be enjoyed, it is work, I expect there will be problems it is not the end of the world. I will just buy more plants. But to constantly walk around looking at my plants for HVX and worry does not work for me and it would take away my enjoyment. Like you I worried I would run out of garden space so I purchased a bigger house with more land. Hilarious!

I have seen a few say they had a diseased plant destroyed it and have not lost their entire collection. So why the panic?

Thank you for the lovely pics. and having such a positive attitude about your plants. That must be why they smile for you when you take their pics.
