Over the course of the next few weeks, I'll share pictures of some of the new varieties of ours that are about to graduate from testing to production.

This one is Elk Mango

Thumb of 2013-06-11/FBTS/ca3499

One of the tracks we are on is to develop subtle, warm, pastel colors that work well with contrasting bright shades. Very large flowers and lots of them on a ground cover style of plant.

This one has passed all tests thus far, and may be headed to propagation.

Opinions appreciated.

Hardy for Zone 7 at least. We are planning on Zone 6 testing this winter, but knowing the lineage I can only hope for 6b at the very best.

Here is another, trying for something larger and nicer than Dancing Dolls:

I especially like the violet hairs.

Here is a nice 2 tone pink that looks like a winner. So many flowers that you almost can't see the leaves.

I'm not usually a fan of pastel shades but these make my eyes smile. Elk Mango would really rock with black mondo grass.

Hi there Mariiyn, I'm going to be downsizing the daylilies in a big way and will be buying some ags and salvia. I think either of the pinks shown would look great with my black lace elderberry.

Love the idea of using black leaf plants with the light pink Salvias! I'll be on the hunt for some Mondo Grass . . .

We are hoping for a rash of new introductions in time for fall planting, August or September. Some might have to wait until 2014.

I'm going to have to wait til 2014 for the ones that aren't hardy for zone 6a, but that's ok! nodding Thumbs up

Maybe I'll win first prize so I can pick Flowers By The Sea! It won't matter if they're hardy to me or not! Hurray! Thumbs up
