Hello everyone, my grandfather had a beautiful rose but it died some weeks ago. I'm trying to identify which variety it was so I can get another one. It looks like the Peace Rose, but it doesn't look exactly like the ones I find on google.
Please could I get some help identifying it?? Thank you very much!

With the greatest respect. You are on a wild goose chase. I've been growing roses here in the UK for seventy years. I would never attempt to identify a rose under normal circumstances. So much needs to be known. OK. A name might be suggested, and you could easily accept that. You say the rose has died. Try this. Trace the stem/s back to close to ground level. Peel back a small portion of the bark. Is this dead or is it still green. If green, that's an indication the roots are alive. If brown then the stem is dead. However not all is lost. Cut back all dead wood to about a foot above ground level. Mulch the root-stock and keep watered. You may be lucky and get some new growth. Best wishes.

If the stems were packed with thorns, there's a darn good chance it is the HT, Perfect Moment.
It's a rose!!! It has nothing to do with life and death.
