Thread OP

Hi, We have a small ( 8x10) greenhouse that Im redoing. We are interested in putting a solar exhaust fan with Temperature controls. Ive looked everywhere on line. I see all kinds of Exhaust fans but the only ones with a temperature control are super expensive. Im not that familiar with solar exhaust fans and need some guidane. Can I just purchase a solar exhaust fan with panel and add a control unit on to it? Thanks for any guidance!

I just have a panel directly connected to my fan. It goes off at night and comes on again in the morning. When it's cloudy it slows down. I disconnect it in the fall when things cool down during the day.

I've used the same setup for a DC pump that circulates fluid from a flat-plate solar collector. Most DC fans require a 12 volt power source, so you need to match the solar panel (probably 20 watt minimum) or use a voltage controller.

There a quite a few listed on ScAmazon. This one might have enough power to be useful.
