That is a great idea! Peat pots are difficult to transport.
Sometimes, I use plastic bags when transporting plants in peat pots to swaps.

Necessity was the mother of invention here : )

We built a small cold frame that is self watering, self heating/cooling which again came about out of necessity ... we needed our tomato seedlings to look after themselves for 6 weeks last spring. We had planted them in six inch plastic pots, so all was well there.

But when I started planting in peat pots this year, moving them around after watering became very challenging ... so what to do. Those wire net strips are perfect because you can easily bend them to accommodate whatever you want to support. It's simple and quick.

No doubt!!! I have never used those peat pots, for that very reason. Thanks for the tip!
