Looking good Cinda. I love the smell of valerian. I had it growing here for years and it didn't come back this year? I need to find another plant because I love it. Do you know if it can be grown from seed? I do have some seeds from the plant I had.

Patti, my valerian reseeds itself so should be easy enough to start from seed. Give it a whirl.

My chives bloomed but I cut off all the bloom tops so they would not reseed.

I don't have much problem with chives reseeding, but I do cut them back to about 3" when they get top heavy. They just pop back up again in no time.

I also do not have trouble with chives seeding too much , but am very careful not to let the garlic chives go to seed , it will gladly take over.
