Your Ornithocephalus does have the typical fan-shaped growth. Looks right.

This is free of any medium, it is just a large clump of plants on top of a bit of leftover moss.

sedum right now I am in crisis LOL. The pilot light on my heater in the GH is rusted over. Its an older heater. I had to order the new part from down in Apopka and have in shipped up. No one locally has parts for this stuff. My installer is only working Monday and Tuesday next week, hopefully it gets here before then, before he goes out of town. Its very hard to find anyone to work on greenhouse equipment here. I was lucky to find out I needed this done before it got too late towards winter.

Looks like you are good temperature wise for a week or so. Good luck with it.

I'm hoping they will all be compact enough for my limited window space. I have pots and orchid mix waiting for their arrival.

Nice haul, Diana. I'm not familiar with the others, but the 'Why Not' is a winner for me. Beautiful long-lasting flowers, gorgeous color, and yes, it's definitely a compact plant. The leaves about 6in long and the flower stems a foot or less with usually about 4 to 6 flowers. Blooms at least 3 times a year for me, too.

I was tempted to order one of the Tolumnia orchids, but I couldn't find much info on plant size, flower size or growing requirements. Maybe next year...

Oh, Tolumnias are really cute miniature! Bright light and plenty water! The only drawback is, they are scale magnets and need to be inspected every so often.
