I can't help but wonder if some of the Warblers that may return to my yard each Fall may have been among those fatalities. So sad, yet preventable.

I had read about that and it's so sad and so senseless that something can't be done (more likely they won't spend the money to do it) to prevent this. Lights out except when the building is occupied or a client needs it isn't good enough during migration. I'd like to hope that this will force a change, but I'm not holding my breath.

That is sad. It seems like some inexpensive, low-tech things could be employed. Something fluttery, streamers...? it's hard to know without being able to look through a bird's eyes for a few minutes. People walk into glass doors all the time too. Both kinds of beings could be benefitted.
