Great way to start off the day. It looks like a nice stand of marts!

Its prayers answered.I thought the exposed bulb would just give up.

They are tougher than you think.

I guess.Gardeners encouraged me at the time last year and this spring.
What was I worried about? All the lilies are knocking themselves out after a disaster frost in 2012.

Love those marties! So graceful, aren't they? Are you going to show any lilies in the coming show? You should you know?

I'm going to show this year, but the marties will be done by then. There are several that I planned to show ~ but with the weather being what it's been, I'll just have to wing it and take whatever looks decent and can survive the drive and 4 day wait until show time. Since we're hosting the show, I going to be there early.

It was from a Woodthrush co-op2012.I really didnt expect to seee it.It didnt emerge until this spring I was truely surprised to see blkooms

I did buy 'wild' Martagon seeds, from Bulgaria, last year.[Mt Vitosha -Blue Rocks-Chameleon] . I have a few babies , hopefully.much to show, further down the track

Mags,thats a beautiful deep red one.Marts are tough,almost like pixing hellebores.

It really is hardy to get a good 'face pic' of the marties. Tracey, I think you might have Mrs. RO Backhouse, or perhaps Brocade ?

I bet it is 'Brocade' as I haven't officially purchased MRs. RO Backhouse (though may have it anyway).
