Chistine!!! Holy camoly! I have never seen such a large patch of Holy Basil in all my life!!! I tinctured & dried like only a fist full this year! What am I doing wrong? Are you using some kind of super sonic fertilizer or something? 😂 Those are amazing! And yes you are so right about Holy Basil! It's a great adaptogen too! Hurray!

GUYS, I hope you're paying attention because I am going to add some more seeds right before the start of the swap tmrw night. (I want everyone to have a chance to dib, if they like what Im offering- thats why I am going to wait till an about hour before).

I don't like 'not contributing' as much as I am receiving and that is the way this swap is going; because at the start of the swap, I had limited time and so I didn't go through my whole seed inventory.

Some refills, some new seed. Hope to level things up Thumbs up

@Greenishpinky I was just saying my seed bidding is just about complete and now you're adding more!? lol! I've been growing Holy basil for about 14 years and that's just what came up this year... it's self-seeding and comes back every year since I started growing it, original seed from an heirloom seed grower. Although, it is a raised bed where I add homemade compost every now and then. I don't do anything else. But I need your tincture recipe!? I'm all ears!

@DraDiana you're adding more too!? Just when I was trying to control myself and call my bidding done!! Sticking tongue out

Not sure this is allowed, but I noticed a lot of people added my Alamo vine on their wish lists. I didn't end up getting enough dry by the swap, but I will have plenty here shortly. If anyone would like to send me a seperated sase after the swap to aquire seeds, msg me

My understanding is that tonight was the last night we get new dibs (unless @DogsNDaylilies adds more, since there may be extra seeds left), as it says the swap ends at Nov 2, 2023 8:00 PM EDT.

I just realized, you were probably talking about tonight, as you wrote it not long after midnight.

No more new tickets, however, dibbing can occur until 7:00 pm tomorrow night, if someone is running late, or gets that last minute "sale" that gives one more ticket. Be sure and double check your ticket count around 6:45 pm tomorrow! Hilarious!

YOU GUYS the ginger just split like three more pods open! If anyone who wanted some of those seeds didn't get any, say aye, and I'll split everything I harvest equally amongst the list.

Nice timing, ginger, BUDDY. Pal.

Does the African pink trumpet ginger also have an edible rhizome/root like common ginger?

I searched and searched, and all I could find were vague references to overharvesting in the wild for "medicinal" uses. Do you know, Joolie?

Joolie,
I'd love some of your ginger seeds. I was not successful in bidding for them.
I have Gaillardia 'Arizona Sun', Lantana 'Ms. Huff' and Heliopsis 'Burning Hearts' seeds left over, if anyone wants some. Please let me know by tonight as I want to get my seeds out by tomorrow.
Thanks,
Susan

It ?might?? be edible but it smells like violets, so it might taste more like perfume... which is what they use the rhizome for usually. There's likely no mention of eating it because the primary use is perfume.
