Bc Carnival Kids 'Green Gem' opened this week. The plant is outgrowing its small pot, so I added wire to grow it hanging. Hence the downward blooms this year.

Wow, amazing colors on those, Ursula. I much prefer hanging plants and downward blooms, myself. I think the plants look so much more natural that way. Less fussy, too.

Not much new here as we have had a run of cooler weather, the old flowers are lasting a long time and fading gracefully. Bl. Punakea has a nice flowery spike opening, but the plant is sadly declining. The heat stress of the summer, maybe?

Gigi, thanks for the Acorn Smiling

Nice blooms, Elaine. Many Orchids live for many, many years, but others just get a bit tired and slowly peter out. It is a bit sad, but I tell myself, they don't live in nature for ever either.

Walking into the greenhouse -It always is a nice thing this time of year, as some of my favorites come into bloom.
C. Bob Betts 'White Lightning' opens the first of two nice spikes, and Rlc Chia Lin 'Shinsu' blooms.
It smells wonderful, especially with Onc Sharry Baby adding Chocolate and Vanilla to the mix.

Wow, you have such a wonderful display in there right now, Ursula.

No new flowers open today except the Punakea now fully open, but I do have a few buds showing up here and there. Sorry for the repeat, got a much better picture this time.
