I have only ordered it for many many years, mainly from Magnolia Cafe, Kerby Lane or reg Queso from Chuy's, but since I have the subject in mind hmmm..What peppers can make an already amazing dip (perfect for Super Bowl btw) even better? I encourage all YouTube videos of this variation be posted and discussed:)

Reason I ask, is well, I have a crock pot and am ready to make my own:)

I've actually never had Torchy's Quesoโ€ฆjust because I am usually going to food trucks for tacos, but I am sure it is great, I have had their Quacamole and it is outrageous Smiling So I imagine their Queso is legit as well:)

I just use jalapeno peppers if I am making a dip like that. I've seen serrano peppers in the store before and they are hotter than jalapenos, but it all depends on how hot you want to make it. I like heat, but habanero is almost more than I can take. The Scoville scale has some that I do not dare try!

That scale is awesome! Thanks for that, I for some reason thought Cayenne would be hotter than Habanero, but I think it's because all the times I have tried to use too much of it when breading catfish that I smelled too much at once haha. Irrelevant story to share, but just came to mind lol.

Also, looking at that scale, I see that bell peppers are low in heat. I also recently learned that Red Bell Peppers have a great amount of Vitamin C. I wonder why Oranges get such a reputation for Vit C when Red Bell Peppers have more. Questions like these always seem to come back to my mind lol

I imagine because oranges are more tasty, especially to children. Even I can only eat so much bell pepper by itself, but I can eat a couple oranges in a sitting. Smiling
