Looks like a Alternanthera, maybe brasilina

I agree Alternanthera, granted I have limited experience with them.
Plant it and they will come.

A thank you to all who answered. I actually grew a small hedge of this from a shoot I found in a potted plant. It grew so fast and soon I found shoots in several places. The resulting hedge produced popcorn-like things. It had to frequently be trimmed and I pulled it out. The color didn't seem as purple and bright as the picture I posted from a different site. So I'm glad for your id info so I could further research it and save myself the trouble of planting something I would regret.

Happy to reply. The plant in your new pics isn't the variegated cultivar I linked. The popcorn things are blooms.
