It would be quite useful for me (and possibly others) for dormancy studies to know as many of the cultivar names as possible that have been grown in a location (usually southern) but that would not bloom in that location. Please only list cultivars that you have first-hand information about because that is the way they acted for you.

If you have grown daylily cultivars that grew leaves and were flowering size but never flowered in your growing conditions in the Southern portion of the U.S. (or anywhere that winter is very mild) could you please list their names.

If cultivars were mature size but only flowered in some years, usually not flowering in most years, please list those here as well.

Please also include cultivars that bloomed the first year after being planted but then never bloomed again.

This is not really what Maurice asked for in his post, but I feel it might be relevant to some degree.
'Alabama Jubilee'
'Feliz Navidad'
'Wild Horses'
Have all been consistent bloomers here in my 8B garden, after my spray mishap we will see what they do next year.
'Feliz Navidad' put out a bloom after the spray incident and this is what it looked like:

Maurice, it's interesting how we daylily enthusiasts give our attention to what is blooming during bloom season Lovey dubby and don't see what is uninteresting at that time: the cultivars that fail to bloom! That is, unless we are really organized or intentional, like Nan is.

Of many hundreds of cultivars, I'm having a hard time coming up with a list for you. Paying attention to the non-thing is almost a paradox, and we don't do it well. When I used to provide hypnosis in psychotherapy, I used attending to non-things as trance-deepening riddles for clients. Blooming daylilies are such attention-seeking divas and we humans are such attentional fools with one-track minds... Rolling my eyes. Here's hoping more people have paid attention to non-bloomers than I have.

I use the list here to run through each Daylily to check if I have any photo evidence from each year. As I try to take pictures of each flower every day, I have a pretty good idea of what's going on out there.

I'm adding Darkly Bright and Little Audrey to my list above. Neither one has bloomed, but I still have hope.

Nan, it took my Darkly Bright 3 seasons to bloom…very slow turnaround but it got there!

Well, that is encouraging. I got mine in fall 2021, so maybe it just needs more time. I also moved it once.

I have had Dr. Octopus for 6 or seven years , it has never bloomed. Green Inferno wasn't a good plant here. Foliage was narrow and scapes were short. Firefly Frenzy wasn't overly hardy here.

Also had Ledgewood Calico Blues for several years. LCB put out all kinds of foliage but rarely blooms.

Zone 5b Soil is good here , no clay

I think Ammad was looking for Southern locations…trust me, I have plenty of Evergreens that haven't done well! But I think I'm too far North to be of interest.
