What is the glorious red one?

Thank you so much ! The one in the foreground is "Red Hawk", and the one farther back is "Sultan's Palace". The one that I posted in the iris category is Spartan , which I think is my favorite red , is has a very slightly more purple tint and wonderful form ,although they are all fantastic iris. All of those were purchased at Schreiner's Iris Gardens . I received Red Hawk as as a birthday present from my mom before she passed away , I've grown it for about 25 years now.

Just out of curiosity, how does the fragrance compare between the three?

I'm sorry , but I really don't know , but I am definitely going to check next year . My wife makes a point of checking the fragrance of each iris that we have ,but I'm not sure she has specifically compared the red ones . We have 47 or 48 different iris.

I understand; I am especially a fan of the fragrant ones but even I lose track of how they all stack up against each other in the off season
