my friend got these a few weeks ago as colocasia, but she's not sure they're actually that, and neither am i. i guess i'm leaning more towards caladium, but i'm really not sure. oh, they grow from bulb, apparently.

anyone can shed a light?

Its Xanthosoma violacea.

It doesn't;t need to be in water like that. You should take it out and put it into a well draining soil mix
