I joined AHS in November, and my club sent in my registration info. I just got my first copy of the Region 5 publication, _The Georgia Daylily_. I am just thrilled with it! I have been poring over my copy and have already added several plants to my want list, including the Stout winner, Tim Herrington, featured on the cover. I know it will grow well in my garden since it was hybridized near here.

I see the Region 5 spring meeting in June is going to be hosted by the Greater Atlanta Daylily Society; @LoriMT is that your club?

Is there a national publication as well? If so I can't wait to get that one as well.

Yes, my daylily club is the Greater Atlanta Daylily Society, and yes, we are hosting the Region 5 Spring Meeting on June 7/8 in Alpharetta, a northern suburb of Atlanta. The club has been planning this for over a year now - it will be kind of like a "mini Nationals". On Friday there will be judging clinics and some open gardens to visit (not official tour gardens). Friday evening will be a daylily auction. Saturday is the formal tour of 3 gardens via bus. Saturday night is a dinner and speaker.

Hubby and I are coordinating the plant sale at the Regional. The club actually purchased thousands of dollars of current introduction plants, which are now divided and growing in the vegetable garden space at MP Flower so that we can offer lots of daylilies at great prices to attendees.

Of course, everyone is invited to attend the event, especially those in the Southeast US. @Seedfork @2Dogsmother @shive1 @floota @Pat236 . You don't have to be in Region 5 to attend.

Nan, you can also create a login at the AHS site and download all of the national AHS Daylily Journals from the Archives. Doesn't cost anything (one of the perks of being a member), they get sent by email and then you can download them to your computer.

Just click on "Members Portal" at https://daylilies.org/. Then you have to send an email to contact AHS to get a login. It looks weird when you log in because it takes you to what the old site used to look like before it was revamped.

Thanks for the information, Vickie. I'm a relatively new member as well and haven't fully explored the site so didn't know you could download past journals.
