Hummingbirds are supposed to be attracted to fountains, too.
Always meant to get one. Nothing fancy, just a solar one that can be plopped into a birdbath. Anything to bring the hummers out.

You are correct on that Orion. The Hummingbirds here love to bath in the water as it is falling over the edge into the bottom area . I am amazed that they are doing this in the very early morning when it is cold and the water is very cold!!!

Becoming colder here as the week progresses too. 58/30 today, sunny, very windy - 35 mph gusts overnight badly frightened Maverick. Daffodils, forsythia, tulip magnolias, periwinkle all in bloom; Bradford pear, other trees and shrubs are budded. It is going to be below freezing for several nights. The daffs and periwinkle will be fine, but the rest may be bitten. Happens every year!

Still in the mid 60s today but then the drop off into the 40s.

In the 30s and windy today - it was easier when we didn't have to take the dog out to potty She tried to chase a bird today because she refuses the leash Vet said to put out it on her inside and let her drag it around. I'm trying

Yesterday was fairly nice with sun in the afternoon. Today was not as nice with lots of clouds and wind. Rained over night and a little this morning so not much could be done outside. I did get a chance to walk around and check out plants, saw some daff's starting to come up. Looks like the semps took the early cold with no snow the hardest. It was so wet last fall with all the rain then cold rain. A little rescue work on them when I get to that area and they should fill in quick enough. Temps today were 34 & 53, 53 was during one sunny period around noon. Most of the day was mid 40's with all the clouds.

Yes it feels like the edge of winter with temps in the mid to upper 40s and a brisk wind, but it looks like spring
