I need to go out and count my empty pots so I know how many new ones I can get... There are always some losses over the winter here.

I didn't end up with any that completely died this year, but I did get rid of a few that haven't done well this last summer and winter.
Was out looking at the beds this afternoon, found where a cat dug up several cultivars and then pooped. I no longer like this cat.

I cleaned up a big pile of cat poop right in the middle of my back yard this morning. A couple of years ago I put in a green large mesh fence around a group of new lilies and it has worked to keep the cats out. Got it at BiMart in a 25 ft. roll. I would think chicken wire would work too.

Most of my semps are safe from poop being they are in pots on tables and in those window box type containers along the side of the house. I just wish people would take care of their pets and keep their cats inside where they are safer anyway. That's what I always did.

Connie, we've been here for 4 years, with the same cat visiting the yard daily. This is the first time he has broken the rules. My gravel mulch has become very thin, that might be why he decided to use the bed. Hopefully that will be remedied next week when the beds are refilled and new gravel applied.
Come on up and I will send you home with new plants. Smiling

Alex, they are looking good. Some of them almost look like berries, made me hungry. Whistling

They have been some but I will put them in the garage when the temps drop super low at night. We are fluctuating from extremes here.

That is wonderful, Alex. Do you think it is because of all the extra gravel mulch?

Alex, I'm curious, do you grow your semps in full sum where you live?

Yes, full sun. Raised maybe ~12 inches off the ground. "Regular" garden bed soil with no amendments to help drainage

Guess that means more space for NEW Semps to live in that vacated space, Alice! Happy shopping?!
