Illinois! LOL

We go to Chef Lin every so often, and I usually manage not to overindulge... but not yesterday! Rolling my eyes.

RickM:
To help get the pulling the foil going, I use a knife, or a razor blade, the one I use to get a label off the window of my car----or any sharp knife, or a flat screwdriver. Usually I do it right after I finish eating the creme brulee. I used to buy them when they were on sale from Harris Teeter. They were 2 in a box, but they do not carry them any longer. I miss them.

Prices are so different in Frederick. I had a bowl of Pho, with tax and tip $22.00 ! A new restaurant; I do not think I will go there again----

I do not know what I did with my iPhone, I have been looking for it for 2 days---!

My phone went missing a couple weeks ago, and after a few days I found it at Mom's apartment, on a side table that wasn't where I usually sit... it must have dropped under something (like the bed) and been found by the cleaning team. You can really start think you're going nuts with something like that!

Look in pockets and look anywhere you are likely to pick things up (setting your phone down in the process)... next to the laundry, in the fridge, bathroom vanity, etc.

I'm sure you've checked the crack next to your seat in the car. I finally got an "organizer" whose main purpose (for me) isn't to hold my kindle or maps, it's to fill that crack and keep my keys or phone from dropping into that space!

I love the way these swap threads seem to continue after the swap, with various chatty topics that might have come up when we're all together. I just like the community we have!

Hahaha: Finally I looked again in my purse! And it was there! All the time I spent looking. Why did not I see it when I looked there the first time?????

Today I woke up and look at the weather forecast on my phone. It say drizzling the whole day and the whole week. When I later I looked out of the window, think fluffy snow were drifting----so beautiful-s--whether on iPhone still rain, drizzling. It was 2 Centigrade. Snowed for a long time, all the roofs were white. Now at noon, snow has stopped. No more snow anywhere and the sun is shining. Blue sky. Was it a dream? NO. Have you seen The slipper and the rose? It is a different Cinderella movie. I love the Fairy Godmother! So funny! I love the ending! It is free online with advertisements.

Went to Lidl yesterday. They had shovels, the regular sort of round to get out soil when you are digging. $9.99. I don't need it so I did not buy it. It had long handles. I bought plastic food containers. Did not buy much at all, oh, I bought the cottage cheese combined with a separate little container with blueberry jam on top. $1.60 each. I like them, Harris Teeter never had with blue berries, they usually have peaches and strawberries. I usually buy the peaches ones when they are on sale for 2 or $3.00 or sometimes 4 for $5.00.

Pretty sure last summer I said something about hosting the spring swap... Whistling

With any luck, we'll be done with downstairs renovations by then (new flooring, new countertops)... right now the delay is that I can't find the type of vinyl plank i want (stone look but NOT marble!). In case we're in mid-mess, I'll reserve a picnic shelter at nearby Ballenger Creek Park. I seem to recall they have a generous cancellation policy.

I know it's really early, but does May 18 not work for anybody?

Thanks, al!! I think we'll go with that date, just makes sense. I did go to FB last night and found the MAG group there is also planning a plant swap that day... but I don't think many people would try to do both gatherings even if we changed the date. And anything happening on Mother's Day (5/12) weekend is unaffected.

I did a deep dive in my D-mail yesterday looking for some info from Doc... looks like we had a lot of plant swaps here 10-15 years ago... so for anybody who's thinking, it's about time Jill hosted a swap, I did it a lot, it's just been a while. Still "about time," and spring is better than fall at my house (mosquitoes get to be a huge issue until first frost).

Prayers are easy and have been ongoing! I wish there were something more I could do.

oops edited to delete details from public post

If the swap date approaches and I'm just not up for hosting, I'll move the whole thing to a nearby park with a picnic shelter. No worries!

“Little girl, why are you doing this? You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” After a few moments thought, she bent down, picked up another starfish & hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied, “Well, I made a difference to that one!” Be the change you wish to see in the world. http://www.stillsthatspeak.com...
