Thread OP

Hello all, I really had a bad problem with Cucumber beetles last year. They went through lots of my plants. My fall garden was almost nonexistent because of the population. I wanted to get out ahead of this awful pest. Looking for some organic ideas. thanks

Hi Woodsman,
I don't have an answer for you. And I will be watching this thread hoping to hear some great suggestions. But I will mention that I was inundated with Cucumber beetles in 2020 and '21. They didn't cause a great deal of damage themselves but they did spread a nasty bacterial wilt to many of my cucumber and beans plants which they had engulfed. The good news is... I had never seen them in my gardens before that time and I haven't seen a single one since!

That gives me hope SedonaDebbie. I have been doing some research and a few flowers (french Marigolds, Nastrutium, Borage) might be helpful, but besides an insecticide I haven't found much. Hope that someone has some helpful advice.
