I am wondering if there are any relatively recent (registered since 2004) tetraploid cultivars that increase very very quickly. I am considering trying to make some observations on the ecology of tetraploid daylilies; the number of plants required would be very large.

I had to move a lot of daylilies late last year, one Tetraploid I noticed that had multiplied rapidly was Insurrection by Marchant 2021.

@Seedfork Thanks Larry, Any chance you might be able to "ballpark" its rate of increase?

The Fastest increaser I have is Phantom Warrior, Gossard 2008. The thing practically triples in size every year. I've already dug up and given away chunks of it but it keeps making lots more. It's gone from 2 fans in 2021 to 16 fans in 2023, even with about 6 given away.

I bought it in early 2022 from William Marchant when he spoke at our club meeting, I now have it in three locations and I have 12 fans when the original purchase included four fans.
