A closer photo showing the shape of the leaves will help but my first thought, which is just a "wild guess" is possibly Dwarf Umbrella Tree (Heptapleurum arboricola)

It's not a dwarf scheff - they have clearly compound leaves. The leaves in the pic are simple and entire.
While it is not a common interior plant, I am convinced it is Corynocarpus. They often take on the sparse look after growing in the house for a time.

Yeah, my first guess was Corynocarpus too! Here's a best close up of leaves I could find…
