Thank you, I bought it many years ago from Tropiflora. This is the second time it has bloomed, several plants in the pot.

I miss the 'old' Tropiflora. Back when they sold a lot of other things than just Broms. I got several really nice aroids there ver the years, inexpensively, as well as some really nice orchids. I'm not sure what happened to them

Nice calathea! Well grown. If you like big long leaves you'd like anthurium metallicum

Thank You! my only Calathea in ages but been OK for its first year plus months. Bedroom with humidfier in cold weather. As you advised, I am careful not to try and humidify it by keeping the roots too wet. I ignore it, mostly. I think it will need bigger pot or to be split this year. Crossing Fingers! Crossing Fingers!

Amazing anthurium leaf!!
Plant it and they will come.

No exotic tropicals in my desert home, just a humble Tradescantia I brought in for the winter. This white leaf with its little green stripes caught my attention

I just got this. Its a Pink Princess Philodendron. his is one of the 'new' TC plants that has come out. Its really nothing but a Pink Princess, but, its been given the epithet 'Galaxy' by aroid people (even though that is not an official cultivar, type, or form name). Its kind of like the Monstera deliciosa Thai Constellation. The variegation is splash and streak as opposed to large patch sectorial (like the second one).
It was a Costa Farms so not expensive as far as it goes. Its believed that, like the Thai Constellation, this PPP will be more variegation stable and not revert to fully variegated (i.e.all pink) like every other damn PPP I have ever had.
Its a new look for this plant, I think I like it, I'm still undecided. But it is very pretty

That's nice Gine, I'll have to keep an eye out for that one. The one I found at Lowe's is Trending tropicals and doesn't have the splash variegation.

Oh yes! They have had these at Lowes here before as well. I have not seen any with the nice variegation like yours. Most have been low to poor. You struck it rich with that one! I see posts on my Facebook aroid pages about all these plants that have been to this point expensive, some actually considered rare still, that are coming to grocery stores, box stores, etc. Stuff like Phildendron Dean McDowell, gloriosum, Silver Sword, verrucosum, all sorts of stuff that is now in active tissue culture production after 10-15 years. I think Anthuriums may not be far behind. Imagine getting a warocqueanum for $19.99 again like we did in 2004.

White Knight has been a slow grower, but those are the new leaves that have come out recently, found that one last summer in a Walmart in Dunnellon. I haven't been in the nurseries since before the holidays...I need to start doing my garden center/nursery rounds again.
