Thaumatophyllum bipinnatifidum AKA: split-leaf philodendron




This is a plant probably no more than ten years old in my garden, I've never seen pink veins on my 30 plus year old plants new leaves, they're always green.

I just posted this in the Begonias thread but thought it would be appropriate here also. The newest leaf on Harmony's Betsy is has pink spots. I wonder if it might not be a seasonal change.

I can;t ever decide if the new leaves on Anthurium falcatum remind me of a bat hanging upside down, or a moth with its wings folded back

That's really cool, I'd go with a moth. Love new shiny leaves.

TY! i went to look at pics in the database and some of them are mine from Fairchild. It is unusual how the leaves are open 'flat' on this last pic: more often they are raised in a circle.

There are a couple different forms of this

My Philodendron Ring of fire variegated, if finally getting a new Spring leaf, a bit deformed. Looks on fire backlit by the morning sun.

Its lovely. I have found that these do get a lot of wonky leaves.
