I have Habanero seed from Southern Exposure See Exchange and they are marked Capsicum Chinense which is ghost pepper in this database. Are these technically the same pepper or is my packet have a mistake?

Capsicum chinense is the botanical name, Ghost Pepper the common name. Your seeds are one and the same.

FYI, comments to any plant entry are for as stated "posting an informative comment about a plant." That means for any additional plant info or personal growing experiences and they are comments that stay permanently on that entry for future visitors to see should they visit that particular database plant. The comments section is not a forum for questions and unless someone opens that entry, those comments won't get seen.
