Regarding the plant "Chives (Allium schoenoprasum)" in @Retro67's plant list

Retro67 said:This year was my second attempt to grow these indoors. Last year was complete fail. This year I have 2 in pots that honestly don't look so great.

Onion chives, someone was stingy with the seeds, they do best in sun, probably grow best in Mt summer, I cannot keep onion chives alive for a whole year, our summer hits triple digits and they go extinct in July and August. On the other hand, my garlic chives have survived 5 yrs. My onion chives do okay under snow cover, but won't survive ice. Probably best to simply keep reseeding.
So many roads to take, choices to make, and laughs to share!
