Looks like it to me.. In zone 9 coastal California it always blooms at Christmas and perfumes a large area of the garden.
The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that it has never tried to contact us.

Oh, yes, ahhh! Mine bloomed through January, it lasted a long time this year. Still blooming in fact.

Next thing to do is go back when it has leaves and feel them.
Unlike many leaves they are rough to the touch.
Seed capsules are interesting.
